Eve Campbell

Here is Eve's story in her own words:

"With an interest in creating surface pattern inspired by Scottish nature and architecture I create printed wallhangings and ceramic tiles. Through paper stencilling and screen printing my prints capture the colours, shapes and patterns of nature on Scotland's West Coast.
I graduated in Textile Design from The Glasgow School of Art in 2018 before setting up a small print studio in Tighnabruaich on the West Coast of Scotland. From there I create my textiles and ceramics, interpreting nature in abstract form for homes and spaces."

A Scribbler, Sewer & Storyteller'

Sophie is a 23-year-old, freelance Surface Pattern Designer, based in Perthshire, who graduated from The Glasgow School of Art in 2021 with a first class degree in BA (Hons) Textile Design. Sophie has a passion for conversational, playful and colourful textiles. Through illustration, paper craft and photography she aims to story-tell and generate feel-good and 'happy' designs. During her final year at University Sophie combined digital print with heavy embellishments and discovered a new interest in bold colour ways, illustrated motifs and playing with surface textures.

Sophie’s Favourite Studio Tool – “Although I enjoy digital drawing, paper collage remains my favourite way of working! I love the textures that I can create through painting up papers and adding detail with pastels and hand drawing. I enjoy the control I have over shape and scale with scissors and glue.”
